  2. 1. What is IconChanger
  3. -----------------------
  4.   IconChanger allows you to customize icons for separate files.
  5.   By default, Windows displays the same icon for all files
  6.   that have the same file name extension.
  7.   Using IconChanger, you can assign an individual icon almost to
  8.   any file. Also, program can change the icon of a folder
  9.   or shortcut. It is possible to change the icon of all file type,
  10.   i.e. for all files with the given extension. You can drag favorite 
  11.   icons to a list and have easy access to them later. You can change 
  12.   the system icons (Windows uses them to display main items 
  13.   on the Start menu and other miscellaneous objects).

  15.   The evaluation version of IconChanger can change no more than 3 icons
  16.   and is limited to finding a maximum of 3000 icons, however,
  17.   with the registered version of this software you can change 
  18.   and find an unlimited number of icons.

  20.   Also, you can use IconChanger:
  21.     - to search for icons inside files on your computer,
  22.     - to show the file with the icon that displays the given object now,
  23.     - to view icons embedded in a file
  24.     - to save an icon as .ico file and copy an icon image to the clipboard.

  26.   IconChanger doesn't create any items in the Start menu.

  28.   TO LAUNCH IconChanger, right click on an object whose icon you want
  29.   to change, and from the context menu choose Change Iconà

  46.   2. If you've downloaded zip file, unpack it using ZIP utility.
  47.   3. Run ichanger.exe and follow the instructions.
